In order to provide for the safety and comfort of all users of the Shell Pool (hereinafter “Pool”), Hotel New Otani Makuhari (hereinafter “Hotel”) stipulates the following Terms of Use.
- Please refrain from using the Pool if you are under the influence of alcohol, not feeling well, have a skin affection or any kind of infectious disease, or are advised by a doctor not to swim.
- Guests who are members of or have any involvement with “boryokudan” (organized crime group), belongs to an “antisocial force”, or have visible tattoos (including tattoo stickers) are not admitted to the Pool.
- The Pool may be closed or admission may be limited in bad weather conditions, during maintenance work or special events by the Hotel, or to avoid overcrowding. The maximum capacity of the Pool is 250 persons. We may ask you to wait in times of full occupancy.
- Please deposit any valuables in the safety deposit box at the Front Desk. The Hotel is not responsible for any lost or stolen property within the Pool.
- Children 15 years or under must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not leave small children unattended at any time.
- Please wear bathing suits with adequate coverage.
- Please leave baby strollers at the Pool reception.
- Please shower and remove all makeup and suntan lotion/sunscreen before entering the water.
- Please refrain from wearing eyeglasses, watches, jewelry, shoes, or any other glass objects inside the Pool.
- Do not bring bottles, cans, glass objects, or any food or beverage to the Pool. Use of any drugs or substances is strictly prohibited.
- Infants with diapers (not toilet-trained) are not permitted in the main swimming pool. Infants with swim diapers (covered with separate bathing suit) are allowed in the children’s pool only.
- Diving or underwater swimming is prohibited except in the diving pool.
- Smoking is prohibited in the pool area. Guests who wish to smoke are requested to use the designated smoking areas.
Please refrain from swimming after consuming alcoholic beverages.
- Use of equipment or toys other than swim rings is prohibited. Such prohibited items include beach balls, beach mats, boats, squirt guns, etc.
- Please follow instructions from the life guard and Pool staff at all times.
- Please be acknowledged that safety inspections of the Pool will be conducted at designated times during the day.
- Pool users who are found to be in breach of the Terms stipulated herein, or who do not follow instructions from the life guard or Pool staff will be asked to leave. Please note that Pool admission fees and parking fees are non-refundable.
- If you do not plan to swim in the pool, we offer a poolside restaurant or enclosed area located conveniently to the pool
- Please refrain from keeping the bar counter for other gursts
- Any matters not provided for herein shall be governed by the Hotel Rules of Conduct.
- The above Terms are subject to change without prior notice.
