Hotel New Otani Tokyo opened in 1964, and celebrates its 60th anniversary on September 1, 2024. At the time it was the highest building in Asia, and boasted magnificent views from its windows. This building is now called “The Main”, and still affords breathtaking cityscapes today. Its night views, called “yakei” in Japanese, is a popular attraction that fascinates people of all ages.

When Hotel New Otani opened in 1964, the circular lounge with a panoramic view from the top floor was one of its highlights. In the years since, the lounge became restaurant VIEW & DINING THE SKY, known for its extensive array of delightful Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.
Buffet Dining (40th fl, Garden Tower)
In 1974, a buffet restaurant opened on the top floor of the Garden Tower, 144 meters above ground. Now called the Tower Restaurant, its lineup offers an impressive selection of healthy yet delightful dishes and vegan items, with a view that includes Mt. Fuji on clear days.
Tea & Cocktails (Lobby fl, Garden Tower)
The full-height windows of the Garden Lounge present a splendid view of our four-century-old Japanese Garden. After dusk, the illuminated garden provides the perfect backdrop for an evening in style with cocktails and tapas.
Western Cuisine (40th fl, Garden Tower)
Bella Vista is Hotel New Otani Tokyo’s main dining room, located on its highest floor at 144 meters above ground. Indulge in exquisite Western dishes as you enjoy the nightscape from the 40th floor which includes the city’s landmark Tokyo Skytree®.
