Mont-blanc is a popular chestnut cake in Japan, and Patisserie SATSUKI's supreme version is an autumn favorite every year. Combined with chestnut paste that uses carefully-selected Japanese chestnuts of the highest grade produced in different areas according to the seasonal prime are, confit of Japanese chestnuts from Kumamoto prefecture and rich whipped cream from Omuta in Fukuoka prefecture, all mounted on an almond tart base with chunks of Italian marron glacés. Red bean paste with "kuromitsu" syrup and a chocolate coated brown sugar meringue add an original flair to this classic dessert. The delightful harmony of exquisite flavors is set off with a subtle accent of natural sea salt from Aogashima Island, bringing out the sweet flavors of the chestnuts to their fullest extent.
