With multiple national holidays clustered into a span of a week [Shōwa Day (4/29), Constitution Day (5/3), Greenery Day (5/4), and Children’s Day (5/5)], this period of the year is referred to as ‘Golden Week’ in Japan. With Emperor Akihito’s abdication and passing of the crown to take place this year, 4/30-5/2 will also be one-off holidays and through the inclusion of weekends, 2019’s Golden Week turned into a whopping 10-day holiday.
Along with the exclusive pre-summer opening of the outdoor GARDEN POOL during Golden Week, many events and activities are planned for this extended holiday period to entertain and welcome guests to Hotel New Otani Tokyo.

Taking in the splendid 360-degree panoramic view of Tokyo from the 17th floor, enjoy everything in buffet style from Japanese specialties as teppanyaki, sushi, and tempura, to Western and Chinese cuisine, along with an assortment of heavenly desserts. Guests can observe the chefs in action through our ‘stage kitchen’ and some of the items will be prepared right before their eyes. During the Golden Week period, an enhanced menu lineup is to be exclusively offered.

The Rose Garden at Hotel New Otani Tokyo will open its gates to the public for a limited period. Events such as yoga classes in the garden and tours by Keisei Rose Garden’s head gardener Satoshi Murakami will be held during this special period.
